Instructions: Read the following topic sentences. Choose one that you will be preparing a well-developed paragraph for, and choose the format for your final draft.


Topic Sentences

1. Senior citizens should not be forced to retire because work provides them with a sense of purpose.

2. Sexual harassment is one type of discrimination some women can face in the workplace.

3. More parents would be able to get off welfare if the government provided free day care for working parents.

4. One way of making dangerous neighborhoods safer is to have more police patrolling the streets.
